Thanks to its siphon mechanism, this system has various advantages. METAWATER offers a filtration thickening system that takes the advantage of the siphon effect of the filtration process. It is an energy-saving thickening system that can be operated with almost no power consumption taking place. The sludge generated within supply water and sewage treatment can be thickened to a high concentration. The treatment efficiency of the equipment can be drastically improved through the installation of this equipment before dehydrators or digestion equipment.

- Volume reduction of sludge are possible thanks to natural energy (to about 1/2 to 1/5)
- No filtration power is required thanks to natural power being used (siphon)
- Life of filter cloth is long (replacement frequency: one to two times every 10 years)
- Thickening is possible to about two to five times that of liquid concentrate, which includes the thickening of low-density sludge (about 1%)
- 24-hour continuous operation is possible due to a fully automated system
