Announcement of "Phnom Penh Branch" Opening
METAWATER Co., Ltd. (President: Kenji Yamaguchi; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) officially opened its Phnom Penh Branch.
Since establishing the "Representative Office of METAWATER"* in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2013, the company has conducted market research and information gathering in the water environment sector across Cambodia and other Southeast Asian countries. To further accelerate our business activities in this region, METAWATER has now established the Phnom Penh Branch.
In Cambodia, access to safe water is relatively high in urban areas but remains significantly low in rural regions. Additionally, sewerage infrastructure is underdeveloped in both urban and rural areas. Rapid urbanization and population growth further underscore the urgent need to improve water-related facilities throughout the country.
In our "Mid-Term Management Plan 2027," we have positioned overseas business as a key growth area. By establishing the Phnom Penh Branch, we aim to expand our operations in Southeast Asia while contributing to resolving pressing local challenges.
* The " Representative Office of METAWATER " will undergo closure procedures in due course.
