Construction of the world's largest ceramic membrane filtration water treatment plant in U.K.~ Adopted CeraMac® system developed by PWNT ~
METAWATER Co., Ltd. (President: Kenji Yamaguchi; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; "METAWATER") is pleased to announce that it has received an order from PWNT (CEO: Clément Pierart; Headquarters: Velserbroek, The Netherlands) for ceramic membrane for Hampton Loade water treatment works in U.K. The upgraded Hampton Loade Water Treatment Plant, located near Bridgnorth in the West Midlands, U.K. and produces 210,000m3 daily (55 million gallons daily) and supplies up to 700,000 people. The plant is currently undergoing renovation, and when completed will be the largest ceramic membrane water treatment plant in the world.
METAWATER formed a strategic alliance with PWNT in June 2013, and has been working together and strengtheing with the company*1 with the aim of expanding the market for the CeraMac®*2 system globally. The adoption to Hampton Loade water treatment plant will mark the 6th project in which METAWATER supplies ceramic membranes for the CeraMac® system.*3
In its Mid-Term Management Plan 2023, METAWATER Group has focused on "strengthening and expanding the international business" as a key growth area. METAWATER will continue to accelerate the expansion of sales of ceramic membrane and growth of our international business in cooperation with group companies and partners around the world.
