Acceptance of new shares of SkySeeker, inc. through third-party allotment
METAWATER Co., Ltd. (President: Yasushi Nakamura; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) accepted new shares through a third-party allotment of SkySeeker, inc. (Hereinafter referred to as "SkySeeker"), a drone sales and service company and entered a contract for a capital and business alliance on March 1, 2018.
1. Objective of share purchase
In recent years, efforts to employ drone technology in inspecting and diagnosing the aging of social infrastructure are underway. SkySeeker excels in consulting and providing solutions to response to natural disaster as the official sales agent of DJI JAPAN, the subsidiary in Japan of DJI (Head office: Shenzhen, China), which leads the commercial-use drone market.
METAWATER's investment in Skyseeker is intended to push forward with development of solution to water and wastewater infrastructure utilizing drones toward public and private cooperation in establishing sustainable infrastructure as well as to consider development of solutions for contributing to regions from the BCP perspective through making better use of drones.
