Renewal, operation and management of the entire wastewater treatment plant are implemented based on PFI.

■Client name: Chiba Prefecture Waterworks Bureau ■Contracted price: 7,589,533,305 yen (including tax) ■Project Scope: Funding, design and construction related to the renewal of the Hokuso Water Treatment Plant as well as operation, maintenance and management of the Plant ■Project period: [Facility improvement period (Construction of new facility renewal)] April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2014 (4 years) [Operation / Maintenance / Management period] April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2031 (20 years) ■Project method: BTO method: TechnoClean Hokuso (SPC) supplies funds and build (Build) facility. Then, the ownership of the facility is transferred (Transfer) to Chiba Prefecture Waterworks Bureau. This is followed by operation, maintenance and management (Operate) of the facility by the said company. ■Facility outline: Siphon-type filtration thickening equipment (new installation x 1 unit), filter-press-type dehydrator (addition x 1 unit, renewal x 2 units)

■Client name: Yokohama Municipal Waterworks Bureau ■Contracted price: 27,679,173,328 yen (including tax) ■Project Scope: Funding / Design / Construction / Operation / Maintenance / Management related to redevelopment of Kawai Water Treatment Plant as well as effective use of raw sludge ■Project period: [Facility improvement period] April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2015 [Operation / Maintenance / Management period] April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2034 (20 years) ■Project method: BTO method; Water Next Yokohama Co., Ltd. (SPC) supplies funds and constructs the facility. Then, the ownership of the facility transfers to Yokohama Municipal Waterworks Bureau. This is followed by operation, maintenance and management of the facility by the said company. ■Water treatment capacity: 172,800㎥/day

Renewal and operation and management of the entire wastewater treatment plants on a PFI basis

■Client name: Aichi Prefecture ■Contracted price: 13,790,000,000 yen (excluding tax) ■Project Scope: Funding / Design / Construction related to renewal of six water treatment plants including Toyota Water Treatment Plant as well as Operation / Maintenance / Management thereof; Recycling of the soil generated in the project ■Project period: [Facility improvement period] Renewal and addition of 12 dehydrator units within the project period of 20 years [Operation / Maintenance / Management period] April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2031 (20 years) ■Project method: BTO (Build Transfer Operate) Method; AquaService Mikawa (SPC) supplies funds and build (Build) the facility. Then, the ownership of the facility is transferred to Aichi Prefecture. This is followed by operation, maintenance and management of the facility by the said company. ■Characteristics: Facilities are renewed and expanded while continuing operation of the existing equipment. The soil generated in the project is recycled 100%.
