Ceramic membrane filtration system integrating super powdered activated carbon
We have developed a system to supply safe and tasty water as a countermeasure to eliminate unfavorable odors or tastes (moldy smell, etc.), which is a main cause of complaints about water quality. We further pulverize powder-type activated carbon conventionally used as a deodorant to drastically enhance the odor elimination efficiency and separate it with a ceramic membrane filter.
AOP system (Advanced Oxidation Process)
Through the sophisticated water treatment process using ozone, stronger oxidation power is ensured. At the same time, we are engaged in the development of a "catalyst tank combined with AOP" as a next-generation technology to enable energy saving. Application of this technology is promoted particularly for raw water of a quality severely affected by turbidity. Further, deployment of this technology in the processes intended for wastewater reuse is being planned currently.
- Depending on the dissolved O3 concentration at the outlet of the previous step, the O3 injection dose in the previous and later steps as well as the H2O2 injection dose in the later step are controlled.
- A conventional dissolved ozone control unit can be used.
THMFP is adequately eliminated in the previous step. Substances that are difficult to decompose with ozone are decomposed and generation of bromate ions is suppressed in the later step.
