Mechanism of UV disinfection
Ultra-violet rays have a wavelength from 380 nm to 100 nm. Particularly, rays with a wavelength of 253.7 nm effectively stop fungal propagation, because they are easily absorbed into the DNA necessary for bacteria and viruses to survive and communicate genetic information.
Our low voltage UV lamp has an output peak at 253.7 nm so that effective disinfection can be achieved.
