METAWATER and PWNT (Netherlands) Strengthen Strategic Alliance
- Joint Development of Water Treatment Technology Using Ceramic Membrane -
METAWATER Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yasushi Nakamura; hereinafter “METAWATER”) and PWN Technologies B.V. (Headquarters: Province of Noord-Holland, the Netherlands; CEO: Joke Cuperus; hereinafter “PWNT”) have entered into an agreement as of December 11, 2018 to jointly promote development of water treatment technology using ceramic membrane by enhancing the partnership they have built up to now.
“PWNT strongly believes that deeper collaboration of the two companies will bring benefits to more customers and the environment through advanced technology to generate drinking water”, Ms. Joke Cuperus, CEO of PWNT, commented. President Nakamura of METAWATER also commented, “METAWATER strongly believes that this agreement is a result based on our relationship of trust over the years, and that our collaboration will certainly be a success.”
The two companies have previously been successful in delivering the CeraMac® system, which uses ceramic membrane, in the Andijk III water treatment plant in the Netherlands, the Choa Chu Kang water treatment plant in Singapore, the Mayflower water treatment plant in the United Kingdom, and the Sonnenberg water treatment plant in Switzerland. Based on these cases, METAWATER and PWNT will jointly focus on the development of water treatment technology using ceramic membrane.
