METAWATER Receives Certificate of Appreciation for “Hamakko-Doshi The Water” from Yokohama City
in recognition of participation in “Water Source eco-project” (W-eco・p)

METAWATER Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasushi Nakamura; hereinafter referred to as “METAWATER”) has participated in the “Water Source eco-project” (W-eco・p), which is run by the Yokohama Waterworks Bureau, since 2015. The project aims to conserve watershed forests in Doshi-mura, Yamanashi, one of the sources of water for Yokohama City. METAWATER has received the Certificate of Appreciation for “Hamakko-Doshi The Water” from Yokohama City in recognition of donation of a commemorative tree planting at the Doshi-mura watershed forest and participation in the conservation of watershed forests, both of which are part of the “Water Source eco-project” (W-eco・p).
 
The award is designed to recognize companies and associations that have supported the conservation of watershed forests through the purchase of “Hamakko-Doshi The Water” (bottled water), Yokohama City’s official water, and participation in the “Water Source eco-project” (W-eco・p) as well as those that have cooperated in providing disaster support such as donating “Hamakko-Doshi The Water” to affected areas. A total of 16 companies and associations received the award in FY2016.
 
Encouraged by the award, METAWATER will continue to actively facilitate the conservation of watershed forests to contribute to supplying safe and secure water to the citizens of Yokohama City.
