METAWATER’s ceramic membrane filtration system acquires JWRC’s Certification of Water Treatment Equipment

We are pleased to inform you that METAWATER’s ceramic membrane filtration system acquired the Certification of Water Treatment Equipment from the Japan Water Research Center (JWRC).
The Certification of Water Treatment Equipment is a technical certification offered by JWRC for equipment and materials for water treatment plants aimed at facilitating technology research & development and use of water treatment equipment. The certification has earned the confidence of water business operators as a proof of water treatment equipment with high water treatment capacity and economic performance.

While METAWATER’s ceramic membrane filtration system had been certified in the past, its newly developed membrane filtration system, requiring lower initial investment and maintenance/management costs with high water purification capacity, acquired the certification this time. In addition, METAWATER has proactively formed an alliance with companies in the industry including OEM supply aimed at facilitating the use of ceramic membrane filtration system. METAWATER applied for the certification together with seven partner companies, namely Watertech Corporation, Ltd.  ACE WATER Co., Ltd. Kyowakiden Industry Co., Ltd.   Suido Kiko Kaisha, Ltd. FUSO Corporation. Maezawa Industries, Inc. and RISUI-KAGAKU CO., Ltd.

Through the certification, METAWATER will expand the supply of its ceramic membrane filtration system while accelerating efforts to secure new partners.

Characteristics of ceramic membrane filtration system

Key features of METAWATER’s ceramic membrane filtration system include small (0.1µm) pores that remove parasites and bacteria, stable treatment capacity that can respond to rapid changes in turbidity levels, high chemical resistance, space efficiency, and resistance to chemical deterioration and thermal/pressure alteration. In the area of water treatment, METAWATER’s ceramic membrane filtration system has been introduced, to date, in over 140 water purification plants in Japan including the Yokohama Waterworks Bureau Kawai Purification Plant Cerarocca (Yokohama, Kanagawa), Japan's largest-scale membrane filtration water purification plant launched in April 2014.
