METAWATER signs a construction agreement for the renewal of the Katsurazawa Water Treatment Plant
～DB business for Katurazawa Suidoukigyoudan in Hokkaido～
The project is designed to fully renew the Katsurazawa Water Treatment Plant, a core water treatment plant in the drinking water supply business of Katurazawa Suidoukigyoudan, and to introduce membrane filtration facilities through a DB (Design Build) method. Raw water of the Katsurazawa Water Treatment Plant has high turbidity and contains odorous components, soluble manganese, ammonium nitrogen, and the parasite cryptosporidium. By introducing a system equipped with ceramic membrane filtration facilities to carry out appropriate preliminary treatment and advanced water treatment, METAWATER will ensure a stable supply of high quality, safe and secure water.
As a representative of JV, METAWATER will leverage its extensive experience and support the project to ensure a stable supply of high quality, safe and secure water to the three cities under the jurisdiction of Katurazawa Suidoukigyoudan.

In addition to ensuring easy maintenance and efficient operation, the ceramic membrane filtration system is capable of providing high quality treated water, equaling or surpassing the quality of conventional slow/rapid filtration systems.
In addition, it requires less space compared to slow/rapid filtration systems and can be used at sites which once hosted other facilities or buildings.
