Introduction of NTT DATA’s new IoT platform to WBC wide-area monitoring contents
First step in the collaboration between METAWATER and NTT DATA in the area of IoT services for the water and wastewater business
As announced on April 23, 2015,*1 METAWATER Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President: Tomoyasu Kida; "METAWATER") has signed a basic agreement with NTT DATA Corporation (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO: Toshio Iwamoto; "NTT DATA") for collaboration in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) services for the water and wastewater business.
As a first step in the collaboration, NTT DATA's new IoT platform “ANYSENSETM”*2 will be introduced to the IoT platform of METAWATER's cloud-based monitoring services for water/sewage treatment plants as well as flow rate, water pressure, and chlorine residual concentration ("wide-area monitoring contents") for Water Business Cloud ("WBC"), a cloud-based platform to support the water and wastewater business. The combined use of WBC wide-area monitoring contents and “ANYSENSETM” will enable the use of field servers with high environmental resistance in wide-area monitoring operations requiring specific field terminals including telemeters. The collaboration will enable the two companies to enhance various functions including the application of image data and an increase in frequency of data collection.
Through this collaboration, METAWATER will increase the added value of WBC services while accelerating its collaboration with NTT DATA.
