METAWATER enters into a basic sales agreement with Nagaoka for Energy-saving thickener, aimed at accelerating collaboration
METAWATER Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President: Tomoyasu Kida; hereinafter referred as "METAWATER") is pleased to announce that it has entered into a basic sales agreement for its unique Energy-saving thickener with Nagaoka International Corporation (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan; President & CEO: Hitoshi Mimura; hereinafter referred as "Nagaoka"), a water intake/treatment facility manufacturer. Based on the agreement, the two companies held a technology presentation at the Nagaoka Headquarters on February 19, 2015.
Nagaoka is operating business globally in the area of water, the environment, and energy through its unique and advanced technology products including "NAGAOKA SCREEN" used for petroleum refinery/petrochemical plants, wells, and water intake facilities and "CHEMILES" - an ultra-high-speed chemical-free water treatment system.
METAWATER and Nagaoka have facilitated collaboration based on the basic sales agreement signed in March 2014 in which Nagaoka provides METAWATER with "NAGAOKA SCREEN" and "CHEMILES" while METAWATER provides Nagaoka with ceramic membrane filtration systems and ozone generation systems. In the second phase of the collaboration, the two companies, based on the agreement, will facilitate the use of Energy-saving thickener both at home and abroad while accelerating the collaboration.
Key feature of Energy-saving thickener
METAWATER's filtration concentrator has adopted a filtration concentration method using the siphon effect created by natural phenomena. The use of the siphon effect enables low energy and stable concentration of sludge while the concentrator's simple configuration, which is unique to METAWATER, enables easy maintenance. In addition, the high concentration of sludge has increased the processing capacity of the dewatering system in the subsequent process, making it possible to downsize dewatering facilities.
